Old Pedal Car Parts

Although we don't currently sell any pedal car parts ourselves, we know people who do!

I've started making a list in my Favorite Links page, together with some people who specialize in buying, selling and restoring old original pedal cars - those really made 40-60 years ago!

Let me tell you, these are beautiful cars but be prepared for the sticker shock. It's not uncommon to see an unrestored original sell for $5,000+ - and I've seen $20,000. Now you see why there is such a demand for our high quality reproductions!

Some people ask if the parts will fit the newer cars - well, obviously it depends. Some reproductions are better quality than the originals in some respects, ball-bearing drive for example, so these parts might not be the same as you can buy for the originals. I would be a lot more confident buying body pieces, wheels, chrome parts - but at the end of the day you can't often buy parts for the newer cars because their price point doesn't warrant it. I'd always take the chance on an old part than let any pedal car fall into disuse!
